PodCamp Boston 2006 Archived Schedule
Registration will begin at 9 AM both days. Presenters: please make every effort to end your presentations 15 minutes before your block ends, to give participants time to chat, mill around, move, and arrive at the next session, as well as give the next presenter time to set up. Please design your presentations to be no longer than 30 minutes and create a page where your session notes will be located. Be sure to also read Presentation Advice.
The Law of Two Feet
PodCamp obeys the xCamp convention of the Law of Two Feet. If you're not learning what you want to learn, you have every right to exit the session you're in and go to a different one, or none at all. Take charge of your PodCamp experience - it will only be as good as you make it.
The Law of Null Space
You are very likely to learn the most in the spaces between sessions, at lunch, at breaks, etc. when you can just talk and hang out with people. Be ready! Have your portable digital recorder on, your business cards handy, your notebook out, and be ready to learn at the most unlikely times.
Session Ratings
Presenters, please indicate in your session listings any and all prerequisites. Suggested tags:
- (N)- for people new to podcasting or people who want to start podcasting/blogging/vlogging
- (I)- for people who have been podcasting/blogging/vlogging for a while and are looking to improve their existing shows
- (A)- for everyone regardless of where they are in the new media spectrum
Please also indicate in the session title if it's narrowly targeted, for example, Video Blogging with Final Cut Pro.
Courtesy
Please do NOT move someone else's session. If there's a significant conflict, please contact one of the PodCamp organizers off-wiki. Thanks.
Editing This Thing
When I first took a look at the schedule in raw form, it was SCARY. But once you hit edit on this page, scroll down past this text, and you'll see the schedule. It's in table form, which means lots of vertical lines: | . Don't get too freaked. Look at the time slot you want to cover. Look at the sessions NEAR the spot you're getting ready to fill. Then, go into EDIT, scroll down, find the session and the time slot. Find which room you want by counting lines over from the first room. If you need help, please email financialaidpodcast at gmail dot com
